The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in June. Museums à la Carte programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
Scholarships to be Awarded in Memory of P.F.C. Markus J. Johnson
The Connecticut Valley Historical Museum will be the host site of the second annual Markus J. Johnson Memorial Fund scholarship award ceremony on Thursday, June 1, at 5:30 p.m.
Currier & Ives Exhibition Extended – 2006
The Springfield Museums have announced that the popular exhibition Currier & Ives: An American Panorama, on display at the Museum of Fine Arts, has been extended until September 10, 2006. (Original closing date was June 4.)
Science Museum Celebrates Astronomy Day
The Springfield Science Museum will celebrate Astronomy Day on Saturday, May 6, from noon to 4 p.m. Weather permitting, visitors will have an opportunity to look at sunspots through specially-filtered telescopes set up on the Quadrangle by museum staff and volunteers from the Springfield Stars Club. Visits to the museum's large rooftop observatory will take place throughout the afternoon.
New England Landscapes by Local Artist on View at Museum of Fine Arts
The work of a Southwick artist will be on display in the Community Gallery at the Museum of Fine Arts from May 23 through September 17 in the exhibition New England Vistas: Paintings by Carolyn Avery.

Stars Over Springfield at the Springfield Science Museum
Members of the Springfield Stars Club will set up telescopes for public sky-gazing on the Springfield Museums' Quadrangle on Friday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m.
Museums Plan April Vacation Week Activities
"Swamp Things" will be the theme of April school vacation week activities at the Springfield Museums. The museums will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21. (Science Museum open until 5 p.m.) Activities are free with the price of admission to the Museums unless noted.
Science Museum Celebrates Earth Day
The Springfield Science Museum will hold its 16th annual Earth Day celebration with a family festival on the Quadrangle green and a city-wide clean up of Springfield parks and conservation lands.
