The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in September. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.

Mrs. Janet Troutman-Simmons has been selected to receive the 15th annual Ubora Award from the African Hall Subcommittee of the Springfield Museums. The award will be presented at a ceremony on Saturday, September 16, at 7 p.m. at the Museum of Fine Arts.
The Seymour Planetarium at the Springfield Science Museum will be closed in September for annual maintenance. Planetarium shows will resume on October 1 with the following schedule:
Children and families can learn about the multicultural heritage of the Americas at the Springfield Museums beginning August 8 in the final week of the "Ancient Adventures" summer programs. The programs have been planned to celebrate the new Ancient Treasures gallery in the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum.

The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle are recruiting volunteer docents to lead tours and programs for children and adults in the Museum of Fine Arts or the Springfield Science Museum.
"Ancient Adventures" summer programs for families at the Springfield Museums will continue the week of July 25 with activities centered on ancient China. "Ancient Adventures" programs have been planned in conjunction with the opening of the new Ancient Treasures gallery in the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum.
A few spaces are still available in the Springfield Museums' cultural tour of the art and music of Austria from October 9 through 17, 2006. The trip has been planned in recognition of the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth.
