Springfield Museums Host “LittleFest of Storytelling V”
The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will host “LittleFest of Storytelling V” on Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The program is free. Activities planned for outdoors will be held inside if it rains.
Walking Tour to Highlight State Street Improvements
Brian Connors, Deputy Director of the City of Springfield's Office of Planning & Economic Development and member of the Springfield Preservation Trust, will lead a walking tour focused on the State Street corridor on Saturday, September 12, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The tour will begin at the Springfield Museums.
Admission to the Springfield Museums will be Free on September 4
Admission to the Springfield Museums will be free for everyone on Friday, September 4. The free admission will also include the special exhibition Grossology: The Impolite Science of the Human Body, which will close on September 6.
Springfield Museums Announce Fall Hours and Admission
The Springfield Museums will resume fall hours on September 1. Hours at the Michele & Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts and the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum are Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Science Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Stars Over Springfield at the Springfield Science Museum
The Springfield Science Museum’s large rooftop telescope will be open for public sky-gazing on Friday, Sept. 4, at 7:30 p.m. The program will be held rain or shine. If it is overcast, a planetarium show will be presented in place of telescope viewing.
September Museums à la Carte Programs
The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in September. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
