Dino Fun Friday
The Springfield Museums will present an afternoon of dinosaur fun on Friday, March 21, from noon until 4 p.m. The program is part of the Weekend Family Fun series and is sponsored by TD Banknorth. Dino Fun Friday activities are free with museum admission unless noted.
Teacher Workshop – March 2008
The Museum of Fine Arts will present "The Other Side of Currier & Ives," a two-part teacher workshop on Monday, April 7, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Monday, April 14 from 4 -6:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to teach American history using images from the museum's large collection of 19th-century Currier & Ives prints. The deadline to register for the workshop is March 14.
Photography Exhibition
Stunning photographs of Antarctica will be on view at the Museum of Fine Arts from March 25 through June 1 in the Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibition Wondrous Cold: An Antarctic Journey.
Watercolor Workshop
Space is still available in a one-day watercolor workshop scheduled for Wednesday, Mar. 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum on the Quadrangle.

Registration is underway for spring courses and travel at the Museum School of the Springfield Museums.
Japanese Prints Exhibition
Woodblock prints inspired by animals both real and imagined will be on view at the Springfield Museum of Fine Arts from March 4-September 7, 2008, in the exhibition Curious Creatures: Japanese Prints from the Permanent Collection.
2008 Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash
The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Saturday, March 1, with a birthday bash for Dr. Seuss. Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in Springfield on March 2, 1904.
March 2007 Museums à la Carte
The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in March. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
March 2008 Stars Over Springfield
The Springfield Science Museum's large rooftop telescope will be open for public sky-gazing on Friday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m.
Blues in Our Blood Exhibition
The lives of two famous members of an African-American family in Springfield will be explored in the special exhibition Blues in Our Blood: The Artistic Evolution of Taj Mahal and Carole Fredericks, on view at the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum from February 15 through November 9, 2008.
Drum-Making Workshop
Space is still available in a one-day Native American drum-making workshop scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum on the Quadrangle.
