September 2008 Museums à la Carte
The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in September. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Michele and Donald D'Amour Museum of Fine Arts.
August 2008 Walking Tour
Robert McCarroll, retired city planner and a member of the Springfield Historic Commission, will lead a walking tour past several significant Springfield churches on Saturday, August 9, from 10:30 a.m.-noon.
Summer Festival Days Week 6
Enjoy performances of some of your Favorite Fables during Summer Festival Days from August 12-15 at the Springfield Museums. Activities are free with the price of museum admission unless noted.
Free Outdoor Concerts
The Springfield Museums and the Armoury-Quadrangle Civic Association (AQCA) will host "Wednesdays in the Park," a series of free jazz concerts by local musicians. The concerts will be held on Wednesdays in August from 6:30-8 p.m. on the Quadrangle green.

Summer Festival Days at the Springfield Museums will continue from Aug. 5-8 with "Summer Carnival." Activities are free with the price of museum admission unless noted.
Extended Hours – July 2008
In response to summer attendance patterns and visitor interest, the Springfield Museums are expanding their hours to include Mondays through August 24.
Local Artist Exhibition – July 2008
An exhibition of watercolor paintings by the late Springfield-born artist Robert Woolfe will be on view from July 22 through September 28 at the Michele and Donald D'Amour Museum of Fine Arts. A reception with members of Woolfe's family will be held on July 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the museum. The reception is free and open to the public.
Mosaic Course and Public Art Project
Artist Robert Markey will present a two-day Mosaic Workshop for adults at the Springfield Museums on August 7 and 8, from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Participants will work with stone, glass and ceramic tiles and learn the techniques of cutting and grouting to complete two pieces.
